TEXTILE DESIGN STUDIO

House of Inana is a creative studio and think tank that brings together experts from architecture, design, anthropology, art, writing, … . Playful, explorative, and boundaryless in its approach, the lab thrives on collaboration to work with complex projects, whether large-scale commissions or grassroots initiatives.

At its core, the studio seeks innovative solutions to some of today’s most urgent challenges: the exploitation of both human and natural resources. By weaving together niche expertise and diverse perspectives, the focus is on regenerative practices and the use of local resources to strengthen infrastructure, preserve traditional knowledge, and ensure it continues to flow across generations.

First out were the Black Sheep Project and the Aware Project, where the projects bridge disciplines to explore space, storytelling, and materiality. This is a space where experimentation meets action, where ideas are transformed into tangible solutions, and where creativity is harnessed to support sustainable, meaningful outcomes for the world we inhabit and pass on to our childrens children. Study travels to gather knowledge from other cultures as inspiration for future development.

We are the ancestors of the future.

Inhouse Design Projects

As an independent textile design studio, the in-house projects are a space for developing designs with care, time, and responsibility. Each project is created close to the material and the place it comes from, allowing designs to be woven on request and produced only when they are needed.

This way of working supports local knowledge, small-scale infrastructure, and long-term use, while avoiding excess and unnecessary waste. Giving a piece time, from design to delivery, is part of its value.

In-house projects allow the studio to remain independent, rooted, and intentional, shaping a quiet alternative to fast and extractive ways of producing textiles.

The projects lead to products that can be MADE TO ORDER or are a limited edition of bespoke items for our COLLECTIONS.
