Alongside the House of Inana Studio in the nearby village, The Ocean Weavery House exists as a remote, high-end creative retreat and artist-in-residence space, rooted in weaving, nature, and regenerative living. Set on the wild coast of Norway, it offers a quiet, expansive environment for artists, designers, and makers to slow down, work with their hands, and live in rhythm with ocean, land, and community.

The house is the home and working place of Karina Siegmund / The Oceanweaver, and opens its doors to a small number of visiting creatives who wish to immerse themselves in practice, research, and shared living. At its heart is a rare digital hand-weaving loom, available to experienced weavers for contemporary textile exploration. For those expanding their skills, optional guidance and top-up lessons are available.

Life here unfolds slowly. We gather around a long wooden table for shared meals, conversations, and community dinners. There is space for making, reflection, rest, and connection, and for forming friendships that often last far beyond the stay.

The house offers

• An Artist-in-Residence program, including accommodation and access to the digital hand-weaving loom

• Small, intimate creative retreats in weaving, plant dye, intuitive making, algae, plant cosmetics, and homestead skills

• A tipi space for creative classes, intuitive guidance, and ritual-based experiences, also rentable as a Viking-inspired nature stay

• A curated shop with responsible, small-scale creations: woven goods, pottery, plant-based cosmetics, hydrosols, essential oils, crystals, and embodiment tools

• A high-end house rental, offering private rooms, an open kitchen-living space, and a communal long table for shared meals and gatherings

The Ocean Weavery House also welcomes those seeking time out, whether to join a project for a period (woofing / work-away), learn weaving, develop a creative practice, or simply rest, recalibrate, and heal. Each stay is shaped individually, in dialogue.

This is a place for those drawn to regenerative living, craft, authenticity, mindful rhythms, and meaningful connection.
